Antico Baglio in C.da Scorciagatto, with a typical horseshoe-shaped courtyard with a panoramic view that ranges from the village of Calatafimi Segesta and the Eufemio castle to the Gulf of Castellammare, Mount Inici and the Archaeological park of Segesta.
The baglio was destroyed in the 1968 earthquake and has been partially restored.
The property includes in addition to housing units, service areas, various external appliances (for a total of about 430 square meters), terrace and garden.
The building is surrounded by more than 4 hectares of land used for olive groves, vineyards, pasture and sowing as well as a beautiful orchard.
Of fundamental importance is undoubtedly the source of water that embellishes the property.
The baglio needs a major renovation. Considering its position in the quiet and relaxing countryside, in an atmosphere of other times, the structure can be transformed into a potential tourist-receptive investment of profound relaxation.
Calatafimi Segesta is a very characteristic village, rich in traditions and folklore. Very famous is the feast of the Holy Crucifix which is celebrated in early May, the whole town participates in its preparation.
A few km from Calatafimi Segesta is the archaeological park of Segesta, one of the most visited tourist destinations in Sicily.
In Summer, the ancient theater of Segesta, the Doric temple and the historic center are home to the Dionysian, classical and non-classical performances.
Easily reachable places of interest are: the Segesta Baths, a mythical place where Hercules recovered from his labors, with highly healthy sulphurous thermal waters, while for a refreshing bath just reach Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello and the Zingaro Reserve.
